Matthijs Welle, the founder and CEO of Mews has been unanimously awarded the inaugural LET Award! The jury was impressed by Matthijs' journey and entrepreneurial ambition. Despite the challenges of working in a notoriously difficult industry which uses outdated systems, Matthijs has managed to build Mews into a market leader. What really set him apart is the jury’s belief in the possibility for Mews to scale and expand internationally, with an already growing global footprint. This serves as a great example for the Dutch tech ecosystem, encouraging more ambitious international growth. Having spent much of his time building Mews abroad, Matthijs is relatively unknown in the Dutch ecosystem. However, his recent return to the Netherlands (just 3 days ago), and the LET Award, present an opportunity for him to become a fantastic ambassador, showcasing the potential of entrepreneurship in the Netherlands.
